The list of challenges to agricultural sector are many and every changing and farm succession remains one of the most significant challenges for agribusinesses to navigate.

The 2022 State of Agribusiness in Australia report, released by RSM Australia earlier this year identified comprehensive planning of succession as one of the most essential elements within the agricultural industry.

Succession planning does not have a one-size-fits-all solution; every farm, property, and business is different. The report highlighted that a proactive approach to generational change was crucial to ensuring the continuation and success of the Australian agricultural industry.

Our Farm and Family Succession training that has been developed in close collaboration with grass roots experience and expert accounting and legal advice, including RSM National Agribusiness, HHG Legal Group.

The workshop was designed to equip participants with a range of ideas and tools to help them get started on the process of mapping a future for their farm businesses and families.

By the end of the training day, we want our participants to leave with a clear idea of where they want to head with planning for succession for their family. Succession is all about planning for change or transition within a business and the family, and it usually requires a family member to be the 'change agent' to initiate the conversation and get the process underway.
